WhatsApp recently announced several new features. One of the major features is that WhatsApp users can make voice calls with 32 members now which was only 8 participants earlier.
During the peak of the CoVid pandemic, WhatsApp had increased the group voice and video calling limit to 8. The support for 32 people is only for voice calls and not for Video Calls.
The rollout is applicable for both Android and iOS. WhatsApp has updated this new limit on the app’s FAQ. The new FAQ says “Group calling allows up to 32 participants to voice call with each other using WhatsApp for free. Apple users can also enjoy this new update.
WhatsApp users can make voice calls with 32 members now here is how.
When we receive a group voice call, the participants currently involved in the call will be shown on the Incoming Group Voice Call screen, and the first contact will be the participant who added you. You can tap Call History to view individual participants from an incoming call on the Calls tab, where you can also view missed call history. If you are still active, you can also join missed calls.
More Controls with Admin
All the Admins will have more authority now on their groups. Group admins will be able to remove unsolicited messages and Media from everyone’s chats now. The limitations and exceptions are now known as of now. Which will be announced later if at all it is there.
Sharing large files with contacts
WhatsApp increased its file sharing limit to 2GB now. This will help people to collaborate on projects more easily. They will announce the types of files that will be supported with this new feature before the actual rollout of the updated App.
Reactions to messages and media.
Facebook and Instagram already had this feature. In the past, most users responded to messages and media by sending one-shot responses. However, users can now reply to the same message using “emojis”. People can quickly share their opinion without sending many new messages to reply to.
